Bay Vista sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms with 5 beds (two kings, two queens and a single) and 5 bathrooms. A ninth guest can sometimes be arranged; ask before you book.

On Shaw Park Ridge in the hills directly above Ocho Rios, St. Ann, next door to Konoko Falls & Park. Ocho Rios Bay Beach, behind the Ocean Village Shopping Complex, is about 5 minutes by car; town and Dunn’s River Falls are about 15 to 17 minutes; Ian Fleming International Airport is about 31 minutes; Montego Bay’s Sangster International is about 1 hour 45 minutes.

Yes. You book the entire house, pool and grounds. The property is gated, and a caretaker is on duty to help without getting in the way.

Yes, at an additional cost. Breakfast, dinner or a celebration meal can be cooked in the villa’s kitchen by a chef arranged through your host. A welcome dinner on arrival is available at an additional cost, or complimentary with stays of seven nights or more. Tell us about allergies and favourites when you book.

Yes, for up to 50 guests: weddings, birthdays, private dinners and other celebrations, on the deck, the lawn and around the house. Additional fees apply. Events are priced separately from accommodation, so booking a stay does not include hosting a party or event. Planning, décor and rentals come from Bay Vista itself, through Michelle’s company, The Wedding Planner Plus, which has planned weddings in Ocho Rios since 1998.

Check-in is between 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM; check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early arrival and late departure depend on the next booking, so ask.

Yes. Two bedrooms, Yellow Bird and Forget-Me-Not, are on the ground floor, and there is a high chair, children’s books and games. The grounds are on a hillside with brick and stone paths, so tell us about your mobility concerns before booking. The pool is not lifeguarded; small children must be supervised.

Yes, free Wi-Fi throughout and air conditioning in the bedrooms, with ceiling fans and sea breezes for the rest. Mobile coverage on the ridge is good.

Two ways. Check availability and book on Airbnb. Or contact Michelle about a direct booking: she talks it through with you, confirms the dates, and sends an invoice or a payment link.

A deposit equal to one night’s accommodation confirms the booking, and that deposit is non-refundable if you cancel. A separate security deposit is returned after the villa is inspected, provided nothing is broken. Weddings and events have their own payment arrangements. Michelle sets out the full terms in writing with your invoice. Bookings made on Airbnb follow Airbnb’s terms and the cancellation policy on the listing.

No. Renting the villa for a stay does not automatically include hosting a party or event. Events are priced separately from accommodation and have their own payment arrangements, so tell Michelle what you are planning before you book.

Yes. Visitors can marry in Jamaica after 24 hours on the island with a marriage licence, which the planning team applies for on your behalf. Bring passports, birth certificates and, where relevant, divorce or death certificates. The team will tell you exactly what applies to you.

Planning, décor and rentals come from Bay Vista itself, through Michelle’s company, The Wedding Planner Plus, which is based at the villa. Need help, balloons, flowers or any other arrangement? Ask Bay Vista. You are welcome to bring your own photographer, officiant, cake maker or entertainers.

Yes. Day use is for events only: the villa can be booked for the day for a wedding, a birthday, a private dinner or a shoot. Additional fees apply.

The deck can be tented and draped, the courtyard is covered by a skylight, and the table in the glass dining room seats ten. Rain on the north coast usually passes quickly; the timeline allows for it.

Bay Vista is on a residential ridge, so amplified music ends at a time agreed in your contract. Your planner will tell you the current cut-off.
